A passion for 1950's design and simple Scandinavian style is part of the reason for the launch of Delyth Walsh' own label. Based in Cardiff she is a recent graduate and holds a first class honours degree in surface pattern from Swansea Metropolitan University.
As an artist and designer she has a large repertoire of traditional and computer aided skills. Together with her freestyle drawings and the use of CAD Delyth creates patterns suitable for the interior and fashion industry.
"I work intuitively with colour, line and stitch from my sketchbooks which hold the essential raw materials of my individual mark-making and self expression."
These elements have also been the basis recently for her hand and machine appliquéd, hand dyed and screen printed pieces of natural cloth, all of which culminated in a series of covered forms and a range of framed pieces.
